Liquitex is pleased to announce an Open Call for a new residency program at Manufacturers Village, available to any US-based artist from the greater New York area for a 5-week period, from March 15 – April 19, 2021.
Deadline for Submission: February 5, 2021 at 13:00
APPLY HERE: Liquitex Residency
Applicants should be artists interested in working with our materials, specifically exploring Liquitex Acrylic Gouache. While the residency is designed to engage with artists interested in a project that will incorporate acrylic gouache, there is also an opportunity to choose any of our other materials. Artists are encouraged to explore a multi-media approach to the work they wish to realize on the residency.
There will be five residencies over the course of 2021, each with a different material as its focus: Acrylic Gouache, Acrylic Mediums, Heavy Body acrylic paint and the full Basics range.
A jury comprised of London-based artist Rebecca Byrne, New York-based arts writer Brian Boucher and San Francisco-based artist Erik Parra will select the candidate.
The selection will be based on the artistic quality of their work, likely benefit of the residency to the artist, and the artist’s interest in engaging with Liquitex materials and embracing the overall residency experience.
