Curated by Karen Bell, featuring seven accomplished women artists: Karen Bell, Petey Brown, Mary Frank, Christina Hutchings, Elizabeth Lide, Maria Pia Marrella, and Ellen Wallenstein.
Working across mixed media, oil painting, fiber, collage, and photography, the artists revisit and transform earlier work to generate new imagery that spans abstraction, realism, and fantasy.

  Curated by Phil Zheng Cai – Group Show (Institution), Working Conditions seeks to dissect the notion of the “artist” into two intertwined identities: the one who makes art, and the one who performs “artist” as a profession. By acknowledging their indivisibility, the project invites artists who maintain other jobs to reflect on how those experiences inform their practice.

• May 29 – June 14, 2026*RUTGERS IN NEW YORK – SPIN-OUT
  • MFA work. Spin-out is a group exhibition that comes after it, serving as a threshold that opens onto something that keeps spinning as we try to step into it. This show feels like a handoff many of us know, into conditions that are turbulent and shaking, quite violently, beneath our feet.

    Jenny Tango at 100 – A Retrospective

  Curated by Robert Bunkin. This retrospective of Jenny Tango includes many visual media: animation, artist’s books, printmaking, sculpture, and comics. She created Cannibal Cut-Ups, a comic strip that was included in a feminist collective of artist-commix creators (Bloody Wymmin) that she founded, and Women of Chelm, original stories based on mythical shtetl inhabitants.
