Dre Britton: Reconfiguration

Dre Britton

Reconfiguration is a solo exhibition comprised of
sculptures, photographs & paintings made by Dre Britton in the last 3 years.

The concept of the exhibition comes from both the modular quality
and the nature of permanence in his work. These boisterous, space consuming sculptures are comprised of various kinds of furniture, found objects and prefabricated structures that respond to one another. Their construction is dependent upon both Dre’s vision and the logistics that
dictate the manner in which the objects are built.

In ‘Reconfigurations’, Dre has rebuilt and expanded upon the forms made in past sculptures in an attempt to explore the loss and longing for a moment of completion, wholeness, and permanence in sculpture.

Show Dates: February 6-February 27, 2016.
Opening Reception: February 6 Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00pm on

Gallery hours: Wednesday – Sunday 1PM – 6PM
