Carl Stein, FAIA, former President of the Westbeth Board of Directors, in his new book, Greening Modernism makes a case for a more unified and holistic architecture that reaches a sustainable synergy through building reuse.

Mr Stein, an architect with long experience in greening and sustainability pays particular attention to the balance between the qualitative aspects of science and the more effect-driven aspects of utility and human experience.
