FEMA CENTER IN Downtown Manhattan

FROM SCOTT STRINGER, Manhattan Borough President

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has opened a Disaster Recovery Center located in Southbridge Towers at 66 Frankfort Street. Residents and business owners affected by Hurricane Sandy can meet with representatives of FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration to discuss hazard mitigation, SBA loans, web registration with FEMA, and housing assistance. The Disaster Recovery Center is open Mondays through Saturdays from 8 AM – 6 PM.

The deadline for registering with FEMA for Sandy-related disaster assistance is January 28, 2013. If you were impacted by Hurricane Sandy and have not yet applied for relief, I encourage you to visit the Disaster Recovery Center before January 28th to explore your options.
