Who: Vado Diomande is an incredible, internationally known performer, dancer, stilt performer, drummer, vocalist and founder of Kochegna Ivory Coast Dance Company. Vado is a longtime esteemed teacher at Alvin Ailey and is in constant demand for programs in public and private schools, concert venues and festivals.

What: Classes can be tailored to all ages / multi-age. His classes are exciting and accessible to all, and give participants options to focus on drumming or on dancing or both! Vado brings all the drums / percussion instruments needed and retrieves them at the end of class.

End of session “semesters” feature live class performances with traditional Ivory Coast costumes provided! The exposure to true traditional African rhythms, dance steps, songs / language and culture by a Master of Ivory Coast music is a rare gift to all ages for the Westbeth community and our neighbors.
