Reuben Hernandez will screen his narrative short film, Her Favorite Patient, with seven other short films and discuss making a film on a limited budget. The screening is presented by the New York Short Film Festival and the Filmshop collective.

Reuben directed and produced Her Favorite Patient, which stars Barbara Miluski (Girls, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) and was nominated for Best Comedy Short and Best Ensemble – Narrative Short at the 11th annual Queens World Film Festival.

Reuben Hernandez is an adventurer who tells meaningful, visual stories through film, photography, and time-lapse. He’s touched down on all seven continents finding beauty in everything from the beaches of Southern California to the icebergs of Antarctica.

Reuben’s work has been featured in BBC Travel, The New York Times, on the Discovery Channel, and premiered at Tropfest NY, the world’s largest short film festival. He was named one of the “20 Emerging Artists to Watch in Film and Video” by PDN and Rangefinder Magazine. His narrative film, Maddie, won the Best Williamsburg Short Award at the Williamsburg Independent Film Festival.
