More info on History of Flea Market here

Westbeth is a home to artists – painters, dancers, actors, writers, sculptors, musicians and more. What they donate to the Westbeth Flea Market are the things they have found to be amusing, beautiful, useful, and astonishing.

You will find here not just and incredible array of books, objects, clothes, artwork, etc, but an artistic aesthetic which reflects not only what Westbeth artists have collected passionately for themselves, but what they have created out of passion.

Our customers include families, techno nerds, artists, set designers, students, art collectors, bargain hunters, book lovers, musicians, people in need of cool (and warm) clothing, treasure seekers, and dreamers.

At the Westbeth Flea Market, you will find the extraordinary. At very affordable prices. COLLECT LIKE AN ARTIST!

Clara Wiek Schumann, wife of composer Robert Schumann, was herself an accomplished composer and one of the greatest pianists of the 19th century. Muse, mother of seven children, concert pianist and caregiver – Joel Shatzky’s play “Completely Clara”, tells her story in vignettes taken from the spring through to the autumn of her life.

ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS FOR WESTBETH ANNUAL 2015

Be a part of the 2015 Westbeth Annual!

Our annual end-of-year show is an opportunity to show the larger community all of the great work that is created within our walls every year. We are currently accepting submissions for this year’s show which will be December 12th through January 2nd. Space will be limited, so only one piece per artist will be accepted.

All submissions must meet the following criteria:

• The artist must be a permanent resident of Westbeth

• The artwork must have been created in the last five years and be of professional quality. All artwork will be vetted by an outside curator to ensure it meets professional standards.

• The artist or their representative must be able to deliver the artwork to the Westbeth Gallery on either December 5th or 6th and pick it up on January 3rd. No exceptions.

If you would like to participate (and we hope you do!) please submit your information by following the link AND email a photograph of the work to westbethgallery@gmail.com
Please put Westbeth Annual in the subject line.
