Dubin’s work evolved from social realist figuration into one more heavily influenced by abstract forms. His teachers were Stuart Davis and Raphael Soyer.
His work is represented in many private collections. Public collections include the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Cornell University, and the Museum of Modern Art. He was represented for 20 years by Kraushaar Gallery, NYC.
He taught at the New School for Social Research, and the Brooklyn Museum School.
