Paying tribute to her mom, Susan Shepard, a Big Band singer & supperclub chanteuse, Val Hawk will be performing her mom‘s “Special Material”, a collection of tunes from the American Songbook that lie just beyond the well worn Standards.
Accompanied by Nicki Adams on piano and Yoshi Wahi on bass, Val will present a curated collection of these lesser known gems in her funny, fresh arrangements.
