Daniel Holt hails from Central Valley California. He received his BFA in Dance from The Ohio State University, Spring 2011. Daniel now resides in Brooklyn, New York where he teaches dance, and heads his dance collective, Dirt. He has performed/choreograhped for Joyce SOHO, Jacob’s Pillow’s Inside/Out stage, Fresh Tracks 2013/14, and abroad in Switzerland, Italy, Germany, and Brazil. Daniel also teaches regularly in NYC at Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway, and across the NYC Tri-State area.

“Crusoe,” is a work ever in process. Previous iterations include Times Square, Germany, and at the West End Theater in Manhattan. “Crusoe” is: dance (duh), imbalance, being poor as f***, Miley Cyrus, joking, anger, dancing, a street flow, Brazil, contemporary dance in NYC, krump dance, beauty, grime-y-ness, collaboration, childhood, high brow, low brow, mid brow, some bullsh**, some real sh**, honesty, music, good taste, and being polite.

Claire Porter of Claire Porter / PORTABLES is a writer, dancer and choreographer whose work has been performed in Scotland, Germany, Holland, Latvia, Korea and India and in the US at The Joyce Theater, Town Hall, American Dance Festival, Lucille Ball Comedy Festival, Bates Dance Festival, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, Florida Dance Festival and The Kennedy Center with the American College Dance Festival.

Porter is a Guggenheim Fellow 2013 and has received National Endowment for the Arts Choreography Fellowships, New Jersey State Council on the Arts Choreography Fellowships and Mid-Atlantic Choreography Fellowships. Her most recent work SEN-TENCE performed at Joe’s Pub at The Public Theater in NYC included Falling for Prepositions, And/But, Witnessing Adverbs and Pronoun Emergency. She has received many university commissions for her work most recently Sentenced to Sentences for Montclair State, Having Conjunctio ns for NYU and Out of The Question for Purchase College. Porter has an MA in Dance from Ohio State, a BA in Mathematics, and is a Laban Movement Analyst

My is a Swedish dancer, choreographer and teacher, based in Copenhagen, Denmark since 1999. She got her dance education from The Danish National School of Performing Arts (1999-2003). For the last 12 years, My has been working as a freelance dance artist all over the Nordic countries. My has worked with many different choreographers, to name a few: Ursula Eagly, Irene Hultman, Cristina Caprioli and Klara Elenius. Since 2005, My has created her own work and this is the second time, she will perform at WestFest with one of her pieces. Her work has earlier been performed at Judson Church in New York, as well as in different venues in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland & Greenland.

During the spring 2015, I will have an artist residency in Istanbul, Turkey, where she will work on her new solo project “Old traces, new places” that will premiere at WestFest 2015 on May the 2nd.

Puluem Youn founder of Youn Puluem Project Group has won many awards including Grand Prix (Group) in Seoul International Choreography Festival 2011 and the top prize in Modern Dance Promotion of Korea 2012. Puluem Youn pursues aesthetic beauty which embraces the space and relationship in human life. Ran than it stimulates the vision, it draws to contemplation in distinctive scent.
