Victoria Horne
New Video : MAEFIELD
Mourrice Papi video producer plus EP release and Eve Zanni Interview

November 17, 2024 - December 17, 2024

‘Maefield’ takes places during The Harlem Renaissance through the 1960s. The story is set in Harlem New York City at a cafe owned by a lady name “Maefield”. She does her best to keep her customers satisfied. While they’re eating up her sweet potato pie!

Victoria Horne is the Visionary behind her Maefield EP. Victoria has worked for over a year to producing Maefield to fruition, recording her star vocals in Mexico as the music was Recorded in 2023 at Coatepec, Veracruz and Mixed and mastered at the Eclipse Recording Studios in St. Augustine Florida through 2024. The album and its songs were first imagined thirty years ago by Victoria. Mourrice Papi worked with Victoria to create the Maefield Music Video, filming in early July 2024, then undergoing an extensive post production process, working together to generating over 400 tailored AI clips into October 2024, also coordinating with the EP release in October 2024.

Born and raised in Harlem, New York, was immersed in music from an early age, inspired by her mother, Edith Dorothy Horne, a talented vocalist. This rich musical upbringing, influenced by legends like Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan, and Dinah Washington, laid the foundation for Victoria’s own artistic journey. Though a native New Yorker, Victoria’s career flourished across Europe and Japan, where she mastered singing in multiple languages—French, Italian, German, and Japanese. Her experiences abroad were not just a means to an end; they deepened her artistic expression and broadened her cultural understanding. Eventually settling in France, Victoria became a sought-after performer on luxury cruise liners, blending her love for music with her passion for travel.

Mourrice Papi is the visual artist behind the Maefield Music Video. Victoria approached Mourrice with the idea and they decided to create a music video integrating Victoria and ai generated video based on Victoria’s concepts for Maefield. Cinematographer, DP, Director, Imager Photographer, Audio Designer/Producer, Media Designer, NLE Editor & Colorist born and raised New York City, Mourrice is noted for the scrupulous care with which he chooses his subjects, his slow method of working, the variety of genres he works in, his technical perfectionism, and his reclusiveness about his videos and personal life. Characterized by a formal cinematographic visual style and meticulous attention to detail-his videos often have elements of surrealism and expressionism that eschews structured linear narrative. His videos are repeatedly described as slow and methodical, and are often perceived as a reflection of his obsessive and perfectionist nature. While often viewed as expressing an ironic pessimism, anti-industry or independent style, a few critics feel his art contains a cautious optimism and deep enlightening when viewed more carefully.

Planning for several monthsMourrice worked on the Music Video for Three months. He generated over 400 clips in Kaiber.ai to create the environment, characters, important sites and story driven backgrounds. That’s over 400 custom contextual prompts. Mourrice Filmed Victoria at his Studio Apartment at Westbeth Artist housing where they both live and met through various coincidental professional interactions at live events. Victoria asked Mourrice to do the Video since she had the project closing and needed something special, different. Something that could promote culture across ages. Mourrice used a Sony FX3 shooting in Prores Raw and his Zeiss CP.2 Cinema Lens set on a white background. He then edited the body in Adobe Premiere and used Davinci Resolve 19 to Magic Mask Victoria out from the white background.

The synthesis of the real Victoria Horne, in two personas, herself and Maefield, the waitress, are saturated with ai video generated using keywords directly from the Maefield song lyrics, Victoria’s visions of Harlem historically and important cultural notes dealing with humanity create a visually striking Music Video like no other. We hope you enjoy the Music Video for Maefield.
