Alison Armstrong writings include literary cookbook, “The Joyce of Cooking” (Station Hill Press, 986) and volume of textual analysis of Yeats’s “The Herne’s Egg” (Cornell Univ. Press, 1993). Alison holds M.A. in English Lit. from Ohio State (thesis on Yeats and James Joyce); M.Litt. from Oxford University. UK (thesis on late Yeats play); and Ph.D. in Comparative Lit. from New York University (dissertation on Joyce and Roland Barthes). Alison’s essays and reviews have appeared in “A Wake Newslitter (sic),” “Irish Literary Supplement,” “James Joyce Literary Supplement,” and “American Arts Quarterly.” Her short fiction and poetry have been published in “BOMB” and “Exquisite Corpse.” Her paintings and sculptures have been exhibited since 1980.
