Debra Jenks

Debra Jenks is an interdisciplinary artist whose work includes, sculpture, photography, drawing, video, performance and ephemeral public projects that meld fictive and autobiographical narratives. Her exhibitions include White Columns, Stux Gallery, The New Museum, The Bronx Museum, Soho Center for Visual Artists, and The Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Anderson Gallery and Hallwalls Center for Contemporary Art in Buffalo. She is a recipient of a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship, and residencies at Yaddo, Blue Mountain Center, Montalvo Arts Center, and the Edward Albee Foundation. Work from her ongoing project, "The Strange Woman and Seven Diamond Miners," was recently included in "Umbra: New Prints for a Dark Age," at The International Print Center in New York, and excerpts from this project were recently published by Tiny Spoon Lit Mag, in a special section on erasures.
