Hilary Brougher — Film

Hilary Brougher is a feature screenwriter and director living and working in N.Y.C. Her most recent feature, SOUTH MOUNTAIN (2019), starring Talia Balsam & Scott Cohen, premiered at SXSW and went on to play Mill Valley, Heartland, Nantucket, Maine, Palm Springs, Mar Del Plata, International Film Festivals, Wroclaw American Film Festival and BAMCinema Fest. It is 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, and is now streaming in the U.S. STEPHANIE DALEY (2007) starred Tilda Swinton, Amber Tamblyn, Melissa Leo, Tim Hutton and Denis O’Hare premiered at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival where it won The Waldo Salt Award for Screenwriting. Her first feature, THE STICKY FINGERS OF TIME (1996) was produced by Isen Robbins, Susan Stover and Good Machine and was an official selection at the Venice, Rotterdam, SXSW, and Toronto International Film Festivals andwas released theatrically in the U.S. in 1997. 

Hilary is also a full-time member of Faculty in the MFA Film Program at Columbia University’s School of the Arts, and chaired the program 2019-2021.
