JACQUI TAYLOR BASKER — Art, Film

J. Taylor Basker is an artist, art historian and filmmaker. Most recently her art responds to children in cages, and the divisive politics of today's America. Much of her work relates to her experience living in Jordan and treats its heritage, political issues and endangered environment. She is also a peace activist & involved in issues of the Palestinian/Israeli conflict and publishes both academic papers and articles in the press. Her research in Jordan has discovered ancient shared Muslim/Christian/Religious religious symbolism in mosaics. She is a full professor at New York Institute of Technology, and also on the faculty of German-Jordan University. She also heads ArtsPR International, that provides PR services to artists.
