Extravaganzas of Obscurity

KEN WADE part 3

Ken Wade Brief Bio:
I began painting in 1963 while living in Tasmania, Australia. In 1966 I returned
to the USA. and in 1968 exhibited a series of large ZIG-ZAG shaped
paintings at the Corcoran Museum, Washington DC. This was followed by
two shows at the Jefferson Place Gallery (DC) before my son, wife and I
moved into Westbeth Artist Housing, in 1970.

In New York I have shown work at Artist Space, Julian Preto, OK Harris,
Willard Gallery The Long Island University Gallery-Brooklyn campus, and
The Westbeth Gallery. I taught at Hunter College and Parsons School of
Design.

The Extravaganzas of Obscurity is work done this year. Also to be shown are
a small selection of drawings done in 1969 (Washington DC) and monoprints, 1971,
done one year after coming to Westbeth.
