Karin Batten was born in Hamburg, Germany and studied painting and sculpture at Central Saint Martins College, London and received her MFA from Hunter College (CUNY), New York City. She is represented by June Kelly Gallery in New York City. For the last three years she has been the director and curator of the Westbeth Gallery in NYC. Batten has shown her work in solo and group exhibitions in the United States and Europe. Her work is included in many permanent collections.
