Griselda Steiner is a poet, playwright, feature article and screenplay writer living in Westbeth Artist Residence. Her plays, musical and movie scripts have been read at the Actors Studio, Angelica’s Salon, Women Make Movies, Naked Angels and the Woodstock Fringe, NYC. In January 2019 her play “Mary M and the Mad Prophet” was given a reading at Polaris North Theatre where she is currently a member. She has read her poetry at the Cornelia Street Café, the Episcopal Actors Guild, the 92Y Tribeca Café, the Duplex Club, Poets House and the Mexican Consulate. Her poems have been published in literary magazines as well as in the bi-lingual anthology “From Neza York to New York” and in her book “The Silent Power of Words”. Her poetry appears online in Scene4 and in 2012 she hosted an evening of poetry videos "Art in Motion" at Westbeth that are now on her Youtube channel. Her feature articles have appeared in THE MAILER REVIEW, AMERICAN THEATRE MAGAZINE, the Polish DIALOG, WOMAN AND EARTH, PARABOLA and FILMMAKERS NEWSLETTER.
