After relocating\nto New York City\, he played bass for over ten years with two legendary tenor\nsaxophonists\, Dewey Redman and Texas Tenor David “Fathead” Newman. This\nexperience provided a solid foundation for Menegon to continue his explorations as a\nbandleader\, composer and arranger\, and he has been composing and arranging music\nthroughout his career. Menegon has released five CDs as a bandleader featuring\nDewey Redman\, Frank Kimbrough\, Joel Frahm\, Matt Wilson\, David “Fathead” Newman\,\nJoe Lovano\, Kenny Burrell\, Jack DeJohnette\, Teri Roiger\, John Di Martino\, John\nGunther\, and many others. She is the first and only woman in Afghani history to earn a doctorate in filmmaking and to head the Afghanistan Film Organization. Karimi was forced to leave Afghanistan on August 15\, 2021\, due to the fall of Kabul and the return of the Taliban to power. Her 30 short fiction and documentary films have received awards from film festivals all over the world. DESCRIPTION:ELDER-Bro is a gathering of deeply talented and seasoned listeners who each have bold histories.\nAndreas Brade and Michael Moss are more recent collaborative partners\, Andy LaDue and Jeff Reich are decades old band partners of Marc\, and Jeff Eldredge and Marc have performed together since 1979! \n \nMarc Jacoby is a “family” musician who has lived in Westbeth for almost 10 years. His lifelong commitment as a student\, performer\, instructor\, recording artist and enrichment specialist has included Columbia Records\, MTV\,  CMJ Fest\, clubs and stages throughout the country. \nThe foundation of Marc’s creative work consists in his daily sessions with children\, families\, and neurodivergent unique learners in various agencies and institutions. \nMarc lives with his wife Mary\, a LCSW who similarly works with a varied client base. They have two amazing grown boys\, Evan 34 and Ben 33.
