DESCRIPTION:“I will be performing my solo rendition of Gertrude Stein’s Four Saints in Three Acts September 15 – October 9.  The play is being produced by the Lucille Lortel Foundation – and hosted by Target Margin Theater at their Doxie space in Sunset Park\, Brooklyn.  See below for tickets – as low as $15. \nThis production is the result of a 4-year collaboration with director Ken Rus Schmoll – and the culmination of an 11-year project I began with my solo rendition of Barry Conner’s The Patsy\, followed by my solo rendition of Eugene O’Neill’s Strange Interlude.  Four Saints completes this trilogy: three radically different plays – all written in the late 1920’s. \nI’ll tell you up front: the play features no discernible story – and there is little indication of characterization.  Stein eschewed story and action for what she called “emotion and time.”  If that sounds highfalutin – trust me it’s not.  It’s playful\, it’s tender\, it’s dramatic and poignant.   \nThe play runs 90 minutes without a single trim.  I sure hope you can attend.
